Select the MENU ICON located in the top left hand corner.
Select the ADD NEW DEVICE button.

Choose the AUTOMATIC option to search for devices nearby. Alternatively you can use the MANUAL option if you wish to scan the QR code on the device.

Trigger a Google Automation (Scene) from a Zimi switch

Accepted Answer

To have multiple devices turn on / off from the press of a button, please follow the instructions below.

|| Note: This requires the Google Home app. Please make sure you have linked Zimi from the 'Works with Google' page.

1) In the Google Home app, select Automations

2) Press the + Add button

3 ) Select Household

4 ) Give your Automation a name and select + Add Starter

5 ) Then select the option, When a device does something 6 ) Then select the device from the list which will start the automation.

7 ) In this example, when this light switch turns 'off', it will action multiple devices to turn off as well. Select Add starter when done.

8 ) Then select + Add action then Adjust Home devices. Select the devices you want to turn on / off.

9 ) Select Save when done. You have now created an automation which will action multiple devices from the press of a button.

| You can also create another automation that will do the opposite when the light switch is turned on.

Question 4

I have changed Internet Providers. What do I need to do with my Cloud Connect?

If you have recently switched over to a new Internet provider and you have received a new modem, follow these steps to reconnect your Cloud Connect to your new network.

Go to the Main Menu in the Zimi app and select Manage Network

Select the Cloud Connect icon and then select Remove this device

Wait for a Blue LED light to appear on the Cloud Connect. If there is no blue light, hold the reset button until it flashes blue.
Add the device again and select your new Wi-Fi network

My Cloud Connect keeps going offline

Accepted Answer

If your Cloud Connect is going offline at intermittent times, your network might have 'band-steering' enabled. Band-steering is when your Wi-Fi network switches between 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands automatically.

The Zimi Cloud Connect can only operate on a 2.4Ghz band.

To fix this, you will need to split your Wi-Fi name into two and have the new one dedicated only to a 2.4Ghz band (please view your modem router's manual for more information).

When you have successfully split the network into two, please delete the Cloud Connect from the Manage Network page and add it again.

When the list of Wi-Fi networks is displayed, select the new network that only has the 2.4Ghz band.

Use Voice Control with Google Home

|| Note: Please make sure your Zimi Cloud Connect is connected and is ONLINE.

| Please also make sure you have created a 'Home' from the Google Home app before linking.

1) Open the Google Home app on your phone and select Settings

2) Under Services, select Works with Google

3) In the search bar, search for Zimi and select it.

5) Enter your Zimi details and Authorise the application after logging in.

6) Your Google Home device is now linked with your Zimi devices! The Google Home app will now add your devices on the app's home page.
